Mireille Darc, 72 ans, et Alain Delon, 74 ans, ont partagé leur vie pendant quinze ans et sont restés amis. Ainsi, pendant la campagne de la Vie, dont la marraine est l’actrice pendant deux ans, ce dernier a demandé le guépard se joindre à elle dans une publicité de toucher.

Pour souligner leur engagement et encourager le soutien public pour les patients âgés, ils ont filmé une séquence chaude, tendre et pleine d’émotion, distribué gratuitement par toutes lesbranches de la France Télévisions le groupe du 29 Septembre.

Caméra au poing, la borne Mireille Darc (également réalisateur) a filmé son partenaire de jeu et la vie, tout en lui montrant sa gratitude pour son soutien quotidien. L’opération, lancée par la Fondation Hôpitaux de France de Paris-Hôpitaux de, vise à sensibiliser les téléspectateurs à entourer les patients âgés, souvent abandonnés par leurs parents.

Notez que le 10 Octobre, un programme spécial sera sur France 3 à 20h35, animée par Michel Drucker, en présence de Bernadette

Sony est prétendument prêts à poney jusqu’à autant que 3 millions de dollars acheter les droits de fonction pour Steve Jobs, la biographie à paraître bientôt sur ​​le co-fondateurd’Apple.

Many people associate Thanksgiving with turkey, mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie; however, historians indicate that it is very unlikely that the settlers were eating the kind of Thanksgiving feast one would expect to see today. Their meals were much heavier in meat and game, and there were fewer vegetables. While their food would appear to be unhealthily high in fat, the amount of fat and protein eaten by the settlers would have contributed to their overall health as they attempted to survive the winter.

Use all the quick recipes below for a grand Thanksgiving feast, or add one or two to your existing menu for an easier yet still elegant dinner.

Steamed Green Beans
Tossed with red peppers, these green beans are the perfect side dish to any holiday meal.

Ingredients:
1 lb (454 g) green beans, trimmed
1 sweet red pepper
2 tsp (10 mL) vegetable oil
2 tbsp (25 mL) chopped fresh basil
1/4 tsp (1 mL) salt
Pinch pepper

Preparation:
In steamer over simmering water, steam green beans just until tender-crisp, 5 to 7 minutes.

Meanwhile, seed, core and cut red pepper into strips. In large nonstick skillet, heat oil over medium heat; cook red pepper, stirring, until tender-crisp, about 2 minutes.

Add green beans, basil, salt and pepper; toss to combine.

Mashed Sweet Potatoes

Ingredients:
4 sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed
1/4 cup sodium-reduced chicken stock
1/2 tsp pepper
2 green onions, sliced

Preparation:
In large saucepan of boiling salted water, cover and cook potatoes until tender, about 10 minutes. Drain and return to pot. Add chicken stock and pepper; mash until smooth.

Serve sprinkled with green onions.

Russian tablet rival ipad. Russia designs tablet PC to rival Apple’s iPad. A Russian state company plans to start mass production next year of cheap plastic-based tablet computers for school students which it says will rival Apple Inc’s iPad.

Anatoly Chubais, an architect of Russian market reform and a head of technology conglomerate Rosnano, told Prime Minister Vladimir Putin the new computer would cost about $420 compared with $670 for the cheapest iPad.

“This tablet is lighter, there is no glass, even in the screen. Even if school students decide to fight each other with these tablets, they are absolutely injury-free,” Chubais joked in a bid to promote the technology.

The device would use plastic or organic electronics, developed at Cambridge University in the 1990s, rather than silicon conductors. Chubais sees the technology grabbing a 10 percent share of the global electronics market. Read more…

Escaped Pet Birds Teach Wild Birds English, Across parts of Australia, reports have been pouring in of strange voices chattering high in the treetops — mysterious, non-sensical conversations in English. But while this phenomenon is certainly quite odd, its explanation isn’t paranormal. It turns out that escaped pet birds, namely parrots and cockatoos, have begun teaching their wild bird counterparts a bit of the language they picked up from their time in captivity — and, according to witnesses, that includes more than a few expletives.

Jaynia Sladek, an ornithologist from the Australian Museum, says that some birds are just natural mimickers, able to acquire new sounds based on things they hear around them. For birds kept as pets, these sounds tend to mirror human language — but that influence doesn’t cease even after said birds escape or are released back into the wild.

Once back in their natural environments, these chatty ex-pets eventually join with wild birds who, in turn, start picking up the new words and sounds. The remnants of that language also eventually gets passed along to the escaped birds’ offspring, much like it does for humans.

“There’s no reason why, if one comes into the flock with words, [then] another member of the flock wouldn’t pick it up as well,” Sladek said in an interview with Australian Geographic. Read more…

A pet rabbit is being credited for saving its owners from a house fire in southeastern Alaska before it died of smoke inhalation, fire officials said on Friday.

The rabbit woke up the homeowner early on Tuesday morning by scratching on her chest, the Ketchikan Fire Department said in a statement.

The homeowner realized that the house was full of smoke, woke up her daughter and fled the house.

The fire was brought under control fairly quickly, with four engines, a ladder truck and 33 firefighters responding.

Damage to the house from flames, smoke and water was considered moderate.

While there were no injuries to the mother or daughter, the rabbit was not so lucky. The animal succumbed to smoke inhalation and did not survive, the fire department said.

Some scientists are good enough to eat—like the ones who just published a study saying munching on dark chocolate is as valuable for health as exercise. Researchers have found that a compound found in chocolate—epicatechin—seems to trigger the same muscle response as vigorous activity. ”Aerobic exercise, such as running or cycling, is known to increase the number of mitochondria in muscle cells,” said the lead researcher, referring to the powerhouses in cells that generate energy. “Our study has found that epicatechin seems to bring about the same response—particularly in the heart and skeletal muscles.”

Mice fed only epicatechin showed the same mitochondria effects as mice who exercised 30 minutes a day on a treadmill in the Wayne State University study, reports theTelegraph. But, bad news for dedicated couch potatoes, mice fed epicatechin that also ran on the treadmill fared best. “Epicatechin treatment combined with exercise could be a viable means to offset muscle ageing,” said the chief researcher. “At the moment it would be a leap of faith to say the same effects would be seen in humans. But it is something we hope to identify in future studies.”
